Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Caliber collects, why, and how it's used. We try to keep this short and concrete.

1. Data we collect

Category	What & why
Account identifier	A randomly-generated UUID stored on your Mac. We don't ask for your email or name to start a trial.
Interview audio	Microphone audio is streamed in real time to Deepgram for transcription. We do not store the raw audio on our servers — only the resulting text.
Transcripts & scorecards	Stored in our Cloudflare D1 database, keyed by your UUID, so you can access history across sessions.
Uploaded documents	If you attach a candidate resume or cover letter, its text content is extracted via Claude. We keep it only for the duration of the interview session.
Payment details	Handled entirely by Dodo Payments. We never see your card / UPI / bank details.
Screen captures	When you tap the screen-read button, an image of your screen is sent to Anthropic Claude for that single turn. Not stored.

2. Who we share data with

• Anthropic — Claude (the LLM) processes your prompts and transcripts to generate responses. Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
• Deepgram — Streaming speech-to-text. Subject to Deepgram's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare — Hosts our backend (Worker + D1 + KV). Subject to Cloudflare's data processing terms.
• Dodo Payments — Our Merchant of Record. They process payments and handle tax compliance. Subject to Dodo's privacy policy.

We never sell your data. We never share it with advertisers or data brokers.

3. Where data lives

Our backend runs on Cloudflare's globally distributed infrastructure. Data is processed at the Cloudflare edge nearest to you. Claude / Deepgram calls go to their respective US infrastructure.

4. How long we keep it

• Transcripts & scorecards: kept indefinitely so your history is searchable. You can request deletion any time.
• Uploaded documents: discarded when the session ends, unless you explicitly save.
• Raw audio: never persisted by us — only streamed to Deepgram for transcription.
• Screen captures: never persisted.

5. Your rights

You can:

• Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Cancel your subscription and stop using Caliber at any time.

6. Recording consent

Caliber records audio during interviews you conduct. Many jurisdictions require all parties to consent to recording — it is your responsibility to obtain that consent from candidates. We don't do this for you.

7. Security

Data in transit is encrypted (TLS). Data at rest in Cloudflare D1 is encrypted. We don't store payment details — that's Dodo's job, and they're PCI-DSS compliant.

8. Children

Caliber is intended for professional use by adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced via email or in-app notice.
